Rhonda Cook is the type of journalist to really go into depth about her article. She usually reports on many cases that involve politics and relates it to the public very well. In the article about the collapse of I-85 she not only described what happened but also made it understandable to the people.
She focuses on the reports that are mostly politics. Law and crime also can fall under her care when she is writing articles. Most occasions when Rhonda is writing about a topic it involves the government and their actions. She follows the judges and the court decisions, police encounters, and social justice acts as well. Cook writes mostly to the older population of the viewers, the metro Atlanta area. The bulk of her topics that she writes only relates to the adults and the many regulations and new laws that could affect them. The characteristics of her work are strictly adult. Few kids would really understand what she is writing about and how it could relate to them. Her purpose of writing these articles is to help the public stay informed. Rhonda knows a lot about the government and the many ways that they could try to deceive us as a group. There can always be many secrets that the government has to hide and Rhonda just makes sure that we know what they are and they cannot hide it. The main topic of her writing is Legislature, Politics, State governments, and criminal justice matters. In the article about how the I-85 Bridge collapsed and was down her tone was very critical of the homeless man. Based on her tone throughout the article it seems that she blames the homeless man for the collapse of the bridge. The article consisted of a pattern created by her. Cook would bring facts and evidence into the article then try to incriminate the homeless man in some way.
